The Learning Contract Good relationships between trainers and learners are essential for successful learning. The strength of these relationships can ebb and flow depending on changing circumstances - and the learning environment is one hopefully steeped with change. We have a deep commitment to you and your learning. We will strive to support you through preparation materials, learning support, feedback, coaching, and the availability of 1:1 Personal Exploration, in addition to providing quality training experiences. It is highly likely that we will not please all of our learners all of the time. When this happens, and when it has come to our attention, we've found that we've been able to respond amicably and to the benefit of everyone. However we recognise the need to formalise our policies so that everyone has clear expectations. Complaints Procedure In the event that a learner is not satisfied with any aspect of the programme, and considers that this occurrence has directly contributed to him being unable to achieve his outcomes, we offer the following procedure. 1 The learner registers his complaint verbally and asks for a review meeting with one of the School's trainers. At the review his concerns can be aired and his desired outcomes established. Through discussion during the meeting, these outcomes will be determined to be realistic, feasible and ecological within the situation operating at that time.
b) If outcomes do not meet the conditions, and the School is unable to address the learner's needs, then the School will agree to refund a proportion of the fees and the learner opts to leave the programme. 2 If the issues continue, then the learner can request a second meeting and register his dissatisfaction and provide evidence of the School's shortcomings. If the evidence is acknowledged by both parties, then the learner will receive a full refund and leave the programme through mutual agreement. If the learner presents a different complaint, then Stage 1 of the process is entered once more. 3 In the unlikely event that there is disagreement regarding the decision arrived at concerning the evidence, then the School will invite the learner to put his complaint forward to The Professional Guild of NLP and enter the complaints procedure of the Guild. Alternatively the learner can choose to have his complaint heard by identified specialist mediators who will adjudicate on the evidence. The School agrees to abide by this adjudication. Eligibility We welcome learners who meet the following requirements. Access to Practitioner and Master Practitioner training is on application, providing the criteria are met. NLP & Learning : NLP Practitioner Programme
Withdrawal From Programme It is understood that learners may experience difficulties during the programme. Ideally these difficulties will be detected by the training team either during a module or through the monthly reviews, or by a direct approach from the learner. In instances of non-communication, the School reserves the right to contact the learner to clarify the situation. Every avenue will be explored to assist the learner in achieving his learning outcomes. The School will reserve the right to ask a learner to withdraw from the programme under the following circumstances, should the learner: Demonstrate an inability to master the material This may be for emotional or intellectual reasons, or because of altered circumstances. It is understood that these circumstances may be temporary and the learner will be invited to return. If this is within a 9 month period then the learner's registration still stands. If the time lapse is more than 9 months, then the learner will be required to re-register, although a discounted rate may be considered. Conversely if the learner has been recruited inappropriately, then the School will refund his fees in full. Behaves in a manner that is detrimental to the wellbeing of the learning community Examples of this may be
Should these circumstances arise, the learner will be asked to withdraw, and no refund will be offered. Is unable to meet funding requirements Investing in an extensive learning programme makes demands on time, money and external relationships. The learner is invited to consider fully all ecology issues prior to registration, from all angles. Whilst we offer a set Payment Schedule, we seek to come to a win:win arrangement with each learner, so that the financial requirements don't detract from the learning by becoming an impossible burden. On occasion we may dissuade or defer registration. Every effort will be made to support the learner who is going through financial difficulties, and amended payment schedules will be drawn up. In the unlikely occurrence of persistent payment default, the learner will be asked to withdraw from the programme. Follow Up The School is known by its graduates. In the unlikely event that one of our graduates brings the reputation of the School and the practice of NLP into disrepute, then we reserved the right to publicly distance ourselves from that learner. We will also support any complaints process brought to us through other registered bodies - eg The Professional Guild of NLP, The NLPtCA.
