Performance Co-Alignment
This is another development on John McWhirter's Performance, Management, Direction, Supervision Model, with a touch of Co-Alignment and the Contrast Frame. It evolved in a coaching context with a client, coming after some belief changework, and some spatial exploration of the operating system, which was generating the problem.
Scenario
OPENING FRAME
Set out your space as follows:
PART 1 1 PERFORMANCE: At Future 1, stand in your Performance space. Here you are, being the way you want to be.
Make any adjustments to your Performance to create improvements. 2 MANAGEMENT: When you are satisfied with your Performance, step back into your Management space.
4 SUPERVISION: When you are satisfied with the overall direction of the management of your Performance, step back into your Supervision space.
5 Make any adjustments to any of the spaces to create the necessary improvements. 6 Now return from Supervision through to Performance, experiencing the connection between all four spaces. PART 2 Repeat the process, this time taking as your Performance the scenario that you have been fearing would happen. Go through each of the stages, in the same manner, and then return to your performance. PART 3 1 Now stand between the two Direction spaces, and draw from each their respective strengths. You might notice that there are some aspects in common. Gain a sense of how you could represent these impressions. 2 Now move down to between the two Management spaces, and draw from each of their respective strengths. Once more gain a sense of how you could represent these. 3 Finally arrive at the space between the two Performance spaces and draw from each of these spaces. 4 FUTURE 2 Step further into the future to and ask youself:
5 Finally in whatever way works for you, merge FUTURE 2 with TODAY. You could slide the two together, roll them up, walk Future 2 into Today, lift this Future 2 and place it onto Today. I would be delighted to hear from you regarding your experiences of working with this model. Do email me on admin@nlpand.co.uk All the best
