Star stuff

I approach, the weather a true reflection of my mood
Grey
Miserable
But a patch of blue shines through.

A sea of clouds fills the valley
Lapping at my door
Ebbing to pull me back
Back to that hopeless depression.

Refusal to slip back
Brings forth stars
As if to say
I’m You
So Believe in me

The Quiet

The Quiet in the past has deafened
Yet today I have opened my ears.

Today there is a new song.
Today I am a stranger in my skin.

I travel with purpose but without direction
Trusting someone in me knows the way,

Knowing my eyes have been closed so long.
Today they open to a new world,

I open my eyes
Knowing today it won’t blind
Knowing today that it will show a new way.

Whether alone or with others

Brothers

It seems to me
That the outdoors would make us brothers.

For what reason does a journey start?
Why should we question
Just as long as we take part.

Many have been, many still yet to view
Most important is who travels with you.

A Passion

As the sun departs
I notice that I am alone.
There is a fear within me.

Also a passion.

A passion that knows
With the arrival of the sun
I am never truly alone.
