Surprise Surprise,

Well hello there, who are you?
Is that a different person looking at me?
The mirror shows it me, but the difference is clear.
My eyes shine now,
With a love and joy of life,
I never knew was possible before,
My skin glows, and reflects the joy within
My hair has style and it’s a revelation.

Surprise surprise, this is someone I want to know.

Surprised to see me, I can hear you say.
Where did you come from?
The mirror still shows me, but your smile is warmer,
It hides a little secret.
The road just travelled
Has been the best, taken me to places,
I never dreamed I’d go.
There is an aura about you, I never saw before
Gone are the tears, gone is the pain.

Surprise surprise, this is someone people want to know.

Surprised to see me, look again,
The person you see here, has always been here,
You have lost the guilt, the fear, the tears,
And joy of joys,
You have come to realise
As you stand there in all your glittery glory,
You are the surprise,
The gift you have given yourself.

Surprise surprise, that face looking back, is who you really are.
