2010 NLP Master Practitioner

by Fran Burgess on July 14, 2010

Our tremendous band of Master Practitioner Explorers all successfully reached their destination last month. So congratulations to Louise Baron, Zoe Haines, Peter Hindle, David Kent, Karl Richardson, Anne Staines, Jeanette van der Weide, Sadly John Hitchen and Glyn Jones had to drop out for health reasons and we wish them all the very best.

We are absolutely delighted with the quality and competence they collectively achieved.  The newly designed programme has proven to be a great success, with everyone demonstrating raised levels of understanding and aptitude in the area of modelling – both as a means of constructing original models, and in the process of working with the underling internal structures of another.  The level of language awareness and use was heartening to witness.  Some excellent models emerged fully formed whilst a few others are continuing to evolve.  Karl deserves special mention for his outstanding Delegation Model, which ticks all the boxes for good model design.

Derek and I feel we gained tremendously having the control over the direction and integration of the learning.  We were able to respond immediately to learner’s needs and recap material and build on what was offered earlier, as well as introduce our latest developments within the process – stuff hot off the press!  And because the composition of the group remained constant throughout, something the Self Build approach missed out on – the co-learning and support was notable.  It was a lovely group to work with.

We are proud of what we are achieving here, at this level of expertise.  We know our learners can hold their own in the wider NLP community.

The whole experience was rounded off with a great soirée of pizza and pizzazz, starring our very own David who took us through a fabulous show of musical hits – followed by some dubious party pieces.  The Hula Hoop Champion was Louise, notable for some impressive moves.  A great do.

So with places already booking up for the next programme in April 2011, we look forward to building further on this really worthwhile learning experience.
